In an interview on QUB Radio with Marc-André Leclerc, the hockey player’s father Tony Girard exclusively revealed the date the public has been waiting for.

“We expected to have the Stanley Cup in late July or early August. However, Samuel told us it would be next Sunday. We had to adapt quickly,” admitted the father.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. on Boulevard Saint-Joseph. Young hockey players from the region will be there and Mr. Girard promises a magical moment. In addition, the population can fraternize with the ice hockey player in the Marina de Roberval and have the opportunity to take a photo with the Holy Grail of ice hockey.

Tony Girard admitted he’s been on cloud nine since winning the Colorado Avalanche on June 26. “I’m still on adrenaline because of the beautiful moments I’ve experienced. When Samuel achieves great things, I notice it a few weeks later. Then the tears will flow.”

While waiting for the precious trophy to arrive, Mr Girard finalizes the final details of the parade with the townspeople of Roberval.
