After reaching the final four of the National Hockey League in the last playoffs, the Dallas Stars clearly show their ambitions to reach the top in 2023-2024, and their main offensive weapon expects the club to achieve a lot in the next few months becomes.
Forward Jason Robertson, who is his team’s all-time scoring leader with 109 points last season, expects the Texas team to shine, especially since they signed Matt Duchene in the offseason and their key offensive players are Jamie Benn, Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski back. “It’s about winning everything. That’s what we want to do. We have these goals. We own the players and the coach [Peter DeBoer] required to win. Everyone has a recipe for success. On our side we have a group of impressive strikers, outstanding defenders and an elite goalkeeper. All of those elements are there,” he told the ESPN network.
The 23-year-old skater also appreciated the work of general manager Jim Nill. According to him, Dallas is betting on the perfect combination to reach the top and make up for their elimination in the Western Conference finals against the eventual Cup winners Vegas Golden Knights.
“So we set our sights high this year and are fortunate that our GM has built this team. Young people like me and those not so old will stand up and take control. It’s exciting,” he said.
The Stars totaled 108 points last year and finished second in their category, just behind the Colorado Avalanche.
