Battle of the Reality Stars: Married rival grooms at first sight clash in Team Ellis’ upcoming celebrity boxing
It’s one of the most anticipated events on the reality TV calendar.
And now, Team Ellis has announced their upcoming celebrity lineup for April’s Pretender-to-Contender boxing match.
Married at first sight groom Al Perkins will step into the ring for the first time and fight alumni Jesse Konstantinoff, who appeared on the series back in 2017.

Mitch Eynaud meets rugby player Delroy Berryman.
Jack Millar, who also appeared in last year’s series of MAFS, will fight Love Island star Hugh Wilcox.
Also fighting for the first time is The Bachelorette’s Luca Fraraccio, who will face off against Love Island Australia star Ben Giobbi.

The event will be headlined by professional boxer Tommy Fitzgerald, who will fight Mitch Leek.
“All fighters will be fighting headless, so expect some serious action,” boxing promoter and Team Ellis manager Antoni Topic said in a statement.
“Mitch & Delroy will be fighting 3×2 minute rounds with both guys having the potential to go pro down the line.
On Friday, the former MAFS groom was spotted sweating while training for the fight at the gym in Sydney
When asked if he had any advice for first-timers like Al, Topic said, “My best advice for first-timers is to get the basics right, move your feet, head breathe and breathe.”
“All equal, most competitors have no previous boxing experience. You will go through a full boxing camp beforehand.

“Stay with your jab and most importantly, listen to what your coach is telling you. You can see what you can’t see when the fighter is in the middle of a fight,” he encouraged.
“These guys are all fit and the form, technique and game plan will separate the fighters at night,” he added.
“They have all been paired with some of Australia’s best coaches so I hope their hard work is well showcased on April 29th!”
