“Mamonas Assasinas The Film” tells the story of the band's meteoric success in the 90s
The story of the band Mamonas Assassinas, which had meteoric success in the 90s, was made into a film. Fantástico spoke to the actors to understand how Group 27 lives on in the memories of so many people after the tragic deaths of its five members. Be it because of her eccentric looks, her music, or even a car someone sees that reminds them of her.
Dinho, Bento, Samuel, Júlio and Sérgio, recorded a single album and sold more than 3 million copies. They dressed up, mixed rhythms and did what no one else did.
The Mamonas loved Guarulhos, and so the report was filmed in a theater in the city, with the film's four actors inspired by the story of the Mamonas assassins: Ruy Brisac who plays Dinho, Renner Freitas who plays Sérgio Reoli, Robson Lima who plays Júlio Rasec and Beto Hinoto who plays Bento Hinoto.
“I consumed more videos, family stories about my father, my uncles, who are his brothers,” Beto says.
The band members died on March 2, 1996 after their jet crashed in Serra da Cantareira, São Paulo.
“They weren't lazy to work like that, that's the story we tell in the film, because that's what it means to combine forces,” says Rhener.
And the yellow Brasilia is also shown in the film. In the scene it was any Brasília, but the one in the shopping center in Guarulhos belonged to the band.
“It's original where it gets more emotional until I can hold back tears. I was 10 years old at the time,” says Girardi.
Although it works, Ney, who is responsible for transporting it from there to Brasília, transports the car on a tow truck.
“We went to a show and people wanted to steal the tow truck. So I said, hey, you can take him, but leave Brasília,” Ney says.
