The unstoppable advance of Italian music marks the year 2023, concluding a year full of achievements and great results, photographed in the annual Top of The Music sales charts by FIMI/GfK.
At the top of the album and compilation charts (which include physical, digital and premium streaming) is “Ilcourage dei bambini” by Geolier, followed by “Sirio” by Lazza and “La Divina Commedia” by Tedua. The individual podium (download and premium streaming) is instead inspired by Sanremo and is led by Cenere di Lazza, while Due vita by Marco Mengoni and Supereroi by Mr. Rain took second and third place respectively.
The Vinili charts are more international, led by The Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, followed by Cvlt by Salmo & Noyz Narcos and X2VR by Sfera Ebbasta.
The female presence in the charts is also increasing: While there were only 4 female artists in the top 20 positions of the single charts in 2022, the proportion will increase to 7 in 2023 and reach 12 in the top 30 positions ( compared to 7 in 2022). ) for 40% of the chart segment. The latter is the highest value in the last ten years and indicates an optimistic growth curve.
