The Oppo Find X6 Pro would be released on March 21, 2023. Despite the critical success of its predecessor, the Chinese company was not planning a worldwide release.

In the last few weeks, more and more leaks for the Oppo Find X6 Pro have become established. As a reminder, Oppo’s next flagship might not be released in Europe, despite its very significant critical success – we ourselves crowned it Smartphone of the Year 2022.
Before a European release is even considered, the phone has yet to be formalized for the Chinese market. This step should not take too long, according to the leaker Digital Chat Station, for which the presentation is scheduled for this Thursday, March 16, 2023. Another leaker Abhishek Yadav, which has proven reliable on multiple occasions, expects the phone to be unveiled on March 21st. However, he’s relying on a leak on Weibo that he takes it upon himself without citing the source, so we can give Digital Chat Station a little more credit.
Oppo Pad 2 and presentation date
The Oppo smartphone would be presented alongside an Oppo Find X6, but surprisingly also an Oppo Pad 2. If the manufacturer decides to publish it here, the question of the name arises, since the first Oppo Pad ended up being called the Oppo Pad Air.
The Oppo Find X6 Pro should have serious arguments: 100W fast charging, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 1-inch Type IMX 989 photo sensor. The photo block would therefore consist of a triple 50 megapixel module. The Oppo Find X6 would rely on a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Oled screen sizes would also differ at 6.82 inches at 120Hz on the Pro model and 6.74 on the Vanilla. IP 68 would remain the prerogative of the Pro version.
After a difficult year for the brand, marked by a very significant drop in global sales, the decision not to launch its flagship worldwide seems perfectly reasonable. But given the excellent vintage we were entitled to in 2022, it’s hard not to regret it.
