The Sum 41 group announce their split

The Canadian group Sum 41 announced their split on their social networks on Monday morning.

“Sum 41 will go their separate ways. We will be honoring all final dates of our tour this year and releasing our last album together, Heaven:x:Hell,” read a message shared on Twitter.

“We will forever be grateful for the support of our fans, old and new. It’s hard to put into words how much we love and respect you.”

Hailing from Ajax, Ontario, the pop punk band formed in 1996.

The formation changed several times. Current members are Deryck Whibley (vocals and guitar), Jason McCaslin (bass), Dave Baksh (guitar), Tom Thacker (guitar and keyboards) and Frank Zummo (drums).
