The Tesla Model 3 has not yet been represented in the world of video games. That will no longer be the case this week with the introduction of the electric sedan in Gran Turismo 7.
In the mid-2010s, the Tesla Model S appeared in video games. Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft had the rights to use the electric sedan. This is how we found this model in the video games Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 2 and 3.
We haven’t seen Teslas in video games since, while the electric car is shown virtually. But that will change this week with the next Gran Turismo 7 game update.
Kaz Yamauchi, director of the franchise that Sony publishes for its PlayStation, showed a preview of it. On Twitter he announced, as he usually does, that he would update via Shadows of the new models.
And among these models we can see the very distinctive lines of the Tesla Model 3. Since Gran Turismo is a car racing video game, we assume that the performance version will also be available there.
Electric cars occupy a large place in the video game world. In particular, we could see the electric SUV Extreme E in Forza Horizon 5. In the latest Forza Motorsport we find the Rimac Nevera, the Pininfarina Battista and the Xpeng P7. In Gran Turismo you can also get behind the wheel of the electric Volkswagen ID.R prototype.
