In January she will represent Italy in the world final of Miss Universe. Virginia Stablum, 30, 24, originally from Rovereto, was voted Miss Universe Italy 2022 on Sunday night, beating out the competition from 19 other women. The competition that distinguished her took place in Canosa di Puglia: Alice D’Avanzo (Friuli Venezia Giulia) and Michela Russo (Sicily) climbed the podium with her.
The other bands
The 24-year-old is a familiar face of the small screen with mixed experiences on TV (among all men and women in 2018) and has been the focus of some gossip news as he was in a relationship with former cyclist Ignazio Moser between 2016 and 2017 before they both gained popularity. Born to an African father and an Italian mother, Stablum has shown a passion for fashion and travel since childhood. She has already worked as a model between the United States and Europe, notably in New York, Milan and Paris, and has over 370,000 followers on social networks. Speaking correctly English, Spanish and German, she is not new to the bands in beauty pageants: in 2017 she won Miss World Madonna di Campiglio and in the same year she was Miss World Cover Girl and in the top five of Miss World Italy.
The motives
I am a simple girl – she said after the coronation – motivated and with many dreams in the drawer. I have a flaming passion for everything related to travel, whether it’s discovering Italy, Europe or the world. I love fashion because every single person expresses a part of themselves through their style and for that reason I’m very passionate about it. On social media, happy and in love defines her thanks to the story with entrepreneur Vittorio Scala. Today, her life revolves around the work commitments that move her between Milan and Miami.
I am proud
I’m thrilled with this win, and perhaps it’s natural to say so, but most of all I’m proud to have taken part in an incredible and innovative competition that pushes the new frontiers of an increasingly pop beauty – she then explained to the local Press – the same I like to qualify the woman as a bearer of values that go beyond the outward appearance. The influencer continued: When I found out that in 2023 this competition would also open the doors to married women, pregnant women, already mothers, I thought that this was a very brave decision and one of absolute civilization and progress, and also for this reason I have decided to participate this year. So I feel very honored to represent Italy in the final. Symbolically, I dedicate this victory to all women and the beautiful, complex and magical world that we represent.
