The TousAntiCovid application is now in pause mode since June 30th. No more updating and no more items to add. This follows from the lifting of the emergency regulations.
There is no longer a Covid pandemic, but the virus has not gone away and continues to be responsible for a thousand deaths a week in Europe, according to the WHO. And that number would be far from reality as not all countries communicate their data.
In Guyana, the Covid continues to rage, albeit with low noise levels. No more figures are given, but we can see that the queues in front of the pharmacies that do the Covid tests have been increasing for a few weeks.
As a reminder, in its December 22, 2022 bulletin, the regional health board mentioned a complete first-time vaccination rate of 30.6%, with the percentage in terms of recall dropping to 15.6%.
Suffice it to say that many people have not had to load the TousAntiCovid application on their smartphone.
Launched in 2020, this application doubled as a health card and then a vaccination card, in the latter case allowing travelers to use planes and trains with ease until the obligation is lifted in August 2022.
As of June 30, the application is no longer operational. And when you open it, you will be greeted with the following message:

This application has been in use for three years and will have caused a lot of controversy as to its usefulness. However, it can be kept as a storage tool and is now frozen in time.
