The trailer for the new animated film from Studio Ghibli directed by Hayao Miyazaki has been released, which will be distributed in Italian cinemas from January 1, 2024 by Lucky Red under the title The Boy and the Heron.
The Boy and the Heron was released in Japan without a promotional campaign. It was only published in the last few days a selection of imageswhile today is the first trailer that was shown.
Released in Japanese theaters on July 14, “The Boy and the Heron,” originally titled Kimitachi wa Dō Ikiru ka, took $11.3 million at the box office in its first weekend, surpassing the studio’s previous records , Ghibli. Just over a month after its release, the film grossed over $45 million domestically. The film will come to the US in September and open the Toronto Film Festival there with the international title “The Boy and the Heron”.
