The University of Geneva offers scholarships of up to R$ 80,000 for Master’s degrees

The Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva (Unige) accepts applications for the Excellence Fellowship program. The program will offer scholarships to “outstanding and highly motivated” students pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Geneva in one of the fields offered by the faculty, according to the organization. Applications are possible until March 15th.

The Master’s courses offered by the University’s Faculty of Science cover the areas of exact and natural sciences. Mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, geology, environmental sciences, pharmacy and neuroscience are some areas in which the master’s program can be pursued.

The scholarship offered by the program is worth between 10,000 and 15,000 Swiss Francs (approximately R$55,000 to 80,000 at current exchange rates). This amount covers the first year of study of the scholarship holder. Since Master’s courses last three to four semesters, the scholarship can be extended by this period “if the candidate is academically successful at the end of the first semester” (according to the website).
