Almost a week has passed since Universitario de Deportes won the title and fans continue to celebrate the 27th star. The championship victory of Jorge Fossati’s team was seen and celebrated not only at home but also abroad. In the last few hours a video has gone viral in which you can see images of the Cream triumph in Matute projected onto the famous Time Square street.
It turns out that a group of fans rented one of the huge screens in New York’s Times Square for a few seconds to project the best postcards of the achieved title university compared to Lima Alliance. In the photos you can see the poster of the entire team as well as the iconic photo of William Riveros with the Matutazo banner.
Another image shown on the big screen shows the Merengue footballers doing the Olympic lap at the Alejandro Villanueva Stadium and a drawing of the iconic photo of former goalkeeper Óscar Ibáñez standing on the Matute goal post, but next to it standing next to him is José Carvallo. The performance ends with a photo of a group of fans.
