The US State Department has shared intelligence that suggests the Russian military has a plan to threaten to kill family members of Ukrainian soldiers who do not surrender to Putin’s troops.
This information comes from the US State Department, which has openly shared much of Russia’s intelligence in recent weeks, especially with regard to plans for the Ukrainian invasion.
Putin’s threat comes when Russia appears to be launching a disinformation campaign that is forcing Ukrainian troops to withdraw and surrender, even though such surrenders are not taking place, according to the State Department.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warns of possible widespread human rights violations against the Ukrainian people by Russia
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba Ukrainian foreign minister says there may be Russian operations under a false flag that would deliberately portray Ukrainians as aggressors
Russia’s idea is to spread information that will eventually cast doubt on the minds of other Ukrainian soldiers and possibly encourage them to surrender sooner than they would otherwise.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said there was also the possibility of widespread human rights abuses against the Ukrainian people by the Russian military.
“All the evidence shows that Russia intends to surround and threaten Kiev, and we believe that Moscow has developed plans to inflict widespread human rights violations – and potentially worse – on the Ukrainian people,” Blinken said on Thursday.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine shares the opinion that there may be violations of human rights.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said there could be Russian operations under a false flag that would deliberately portray Ukrainians as aggressors, although the opposite is true.
“According to intelligence, Russia is planning a large-scale operation under a false flag to” dehumanize “Ukrainians and accuse Ukraine of alleged inhumane acts. Don’t believe in fakes. Ukraine is defending its land in a just and defensive war. “Unlike Russia, we are not targeting kindergartens and civilians,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
In addition to the operations under a false flag, said an American source CNN how Moscow was focused on conducting a disinformation campaign in which they would assume that a large number of Ukrainian troops had surrendered to Russian forces.
“We congratulate the Ukrainian people for showing strength and determination in response to an unprovoked attack by a much larger army,” the official said.
“However, we are concerned that Russia plans to discourage them and cause capitulation through misinformation. Our information shows that Russia is creating a disinformation campaign by publishing false reports about the widespread surrender of Ukrainian troops.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told how 137 people lost their lives on the first day of the invasion.
Zelenski described them as dying of a “heroic death” and that they had not surrendered.
The bodies of Russian servicemen dressed in Ukrainian uniforms are lying inside and next to a vehicle after they took part in an attack and were shot during a fight in the Ukrainian capital Kiev on Friday.
