The US government has opened its popular 2025 visa lottery, this time with 55,000 slots. Nine countries in the region are excluded: Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico and Venezuela.
This Wednesday, the United States government opened registration for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, popularly known as the Visa Lottery.
Registration is open from October 4, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) through November 7, 2023 at the same time. reported the Department.
According to the Foreign Ministry announcement, 55,000 places were allocated on this occasion.

The company argues that this is because “more than 50,000 natives from these countries have immigrated to the United States in the last five years.”
How can I enter the US visa lottery?
Cuba is once again one of the favorites in the draw.
Those chosen, the announcement says, will then be able to undergo the process of obtaining permanent residency in the United States, also known as a green card.
To be eligible for the program, certain requirements must be met, such as: citizenship of a country with a low rate of immigration to the United States, 12 years of primary and secondary education or equivalent, and at least two years of work experience within the last five years in a suitable profession.
