The very sad confession about the voice of Mario Giordano

The very sad confession about the voice of Mario Giordano Cinemalefica

Mario Giordano is one of the most talked about journalists on the Italian television scene. His show “Fuori dal Coro” is quite successful and his eccentric conducting style is certainly a distinctive feature. To characterize it, it would then also be quite a special intonation, and it has often been criticized for being really unintelligent for that very aspect. So at Chi Weekly recently, he removed a few pebbles from his shoe and trimmed some jabs just for those who tend to maliciously underscore the sharpness of his vocal timbre.

In the columns of the well-known magazine, the journalist spoke primarily about his family and the words for a difficult moment of his son were touching: There was a time when Lorenzo, one of my sons, had problems with his youth and she said to me: ” I think he should be with you for a while. So I took Lorenzo and brought him to Normandy, a place he loves very much because he knows the history of WWII well. We went to the American War Cemetery. I’m still excited to talk about it. Now he has a degree in literature and is a television producer.”

The love for his wife is really in the air when he gives her all the credit for the serenity and solidity of the family: “It was thanks to my wife. She sacrificed her whole life to raise her children, she started working after the age of 50. Their meeting is thus narrated in a moving atmosphere of another time: we met in the Oratory of Canelli in the province of Asti. She was 12 and I was 15, our story was born the simple way”.

Then we touch on the delicate issue of his vocal timbre and Giordano declares with a certain certainty: “Television lives from differences, even the lack can become a characteristic element. But I suffered and when colleagues like Gruber joke and ape me, I get sick. Also because they then become the standard-bearers of the politically correct”. So we strongly argue that Mario Giordano is really right, at least this time. The journalist is indeed somewhat questionable on several counts, but if it’s necessary to highlight his particular tone of voice to indicate his detachment from his positions, we really think he’s hit rock bottom on this one.
