The vice president of the Cuban Institute of Film Arts and Industry (ICAIC), Milton Pérez Abradelo, died on Saturday from a “long and painful illness,” the institution reported in a press release.
The organization pointed out that Pérez Abradelo was still active until a few weeks ago, which included organizing festivals and audiovisual events.
According to the statement, in recent years he has also worked on the conception of the program for the rehabilitation of cinemas and on saving the audiovisual heritage that the ICAIC protects, being part of the team dedicated to the restoration of the vaults of its archive .filmic .
