Omar Jose Cardona was immediately saved on Tuesday’s episode of The Voice after his trainer John Legend admitted he was “stunned” he finished in the last four.

The 34-year-old Orlando, Fla. singer turned all four chairs during the blind auditions and delivered a stellar rendition of the Celine Dion power ballad “My Heart Will Go On” on Monday as the final eight performed.

“Omar, I’m stunned that you’re in this position,” said John, 43, as Omar was forced to battle Kim Cruse, Justin Aaron and Parijita Bastola for fifth and final spot in the season 22 finale.

Noting that Omar had impressed her with his performances every week, John said his voice was “just amazing”.

“If this is The Voice and we vote people for their voice, then Omar is The Voice, folks,” John said after Omar belted out Lady Gaga’s song “You And I” during Instant Save performances.

Show host Carson Daly, 49, revealed that Omar was rescued immediately and advanced to the finale as the hour-long episode of results drew to a close.

The episode began with Carson introducing the trainers and showing Gwen Stefani, 53, a dramatic new look in a long black wig.

Blake’s singer Bryce Leatherwood, 22, of Georgia, was the first contestant to make it to the finals when Carson announced the audience voting results.

John also performed his song Nervous, which began with him playing the piano in a woodland setting.

Morgan Myles, 35, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, was next to stand in for new trainer Camila Cabello, 25.

“I’m so proud of you,” Camila said to Morgan.

Los Angeles singer Bodie, 29, from Blake’s team was announced as the third finalist.

Blake’s teenage singer Brayden Lape, 15, of Grass Lake, Michigan, was named the fourth finalist.

Carson described it as a “clean win” for Blake and his “Killer Bs” of Bryce, Bodie and Brayden, who made it to the finals.

Parijita, 17, from Baltimore, performed Make You Feel My Love for her instant performance, while Kim, 30, from Woodville, Texas, sang All By Myself and Justin, 34, from Junction City, Kansas, provided Made A Way.

Gwen will not have a singer in the finals for the third time in her six seasons as coach.
