New York Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole apparently isn’t a Billy Crystal fan — at least not on Friday.
The four-time MLB All-Star expressed frustration during Friday’s opening day celebrations when the start of the game against the Boston Red Sox was delayed by four minutes as actor and director Billy Crystal took to the field to celebrate the ceremonial first throw pitch.

“Here we go!” Cole could be seen screaming from the shelter.
Cole opened the game with a four-pitch walk and the Red Sox led 3-0 on Rafael Devers’ double homer and JD Martinez’s RBI double before Cole hit a single out.

“Hard adjustment,” he said after the game via Yahoo Sports. “Obviously the first four pitches weren’t really competitive and then frankly got burned at some pretty good fastball sites in the first. They put some pretty awesome swings on it. Luckily we were able to settle in after that and give each other a chance to win.”

When asked about the four-minute delay, Cole explained his frustration.
“It was an unforeseen challenge. The celebrations got a bit off schedule.”

Maybe it was nervousness on opening day.
