Victor Hugo, of the country duo with Diego, was taken to the hospital urgently. This Saturday (17), the singer even underwent surgery to remove gallstones. Due to the surgical intervention, the artist was absent from the exhibitions in Alvorada, Tocantins and in Itaberaí, Goiás.
According to a message from the Sertaneja duo, the singer is said to have felt bad during a show in Valparaíso de Goiás. The use of medication was not enough to relieve the artist’s pain. Because of this, the singer returned to Uberlândia and underwent surgery.

“The singer presented a picture of abdominal pain with progressive deterioration. The pains increased and after some preliminary examinations carried out in Brasília (DF) they showed the presence of gallbladder stones,” explained the artists’ press office. The singer must remain calm in the coming days.
Diego even called up other singers to substitute for his duo so he didn’t have to cancel the recital schedule. Vitinho Imperador took the stage in Alvorada. In Itaberaí, the duo Netto & Henrique performed alongside the singer. While the show scheduled for this Sunday (18) in Capinópolis, Minas Gerais, has been postponed to June 16, 2024.
