Computer security researchers are warning users of Android smartphones and tablets about 101 applications. Downloaded more than 421 million times via Play Store, these applications hide a Trojan malware called Android.Spy.SpinOk to steal users’ personal information.

What are the dangers of the Android.Spy.SpinOk Trojan?
Computer security researchers from Dr.Web published a report about 101 infected Android apps. It hides malicious software (malware) of the Trojan type with the name: Android.Spy.SpinOk.
No fewer than 421 million Android smartphones and tablets have downloaded at least one of them.
The researchers explain that this virus is distributed using an SDK (Software Development Kit) or in French, a development kit. Basically, it’s a set of tools for building an application or adding functionality.
In this case, Android.Spy.SpinOk is promoted as a tool designed to help app developers build user loyalty.
This makes it possible to add mini-games, tasks to be performed, rewards and prizes to be won to an existing application. In short, incentivizing people to stay or return to an app.
