“Supersonic” slip for Alessandro di Battista. Last night the former Grillino MP, who opposed arms sales to Ukraine, pulled one out of the arsenal of nonsense on TV carver with an immediate eruption. The explosion was heard live on La7. In the studio, at DiMartedì’s, the conflict was discussed and Dibba insisted on reiterating his skepticism about the armed support in Kyiv. “I disagree with the simplification of asking Ukrainians to surrender if you don’t send arms. That’s not the case,” thundered the former MP. Then, precisely with regard to armaments, the error promptly pointed out by the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Benedetto Della Vedovasit next door.
Di Battista raised the risk of a further escalation of the war and spoke of the use of “supersonic missiles“by Putin’s men. And Della Vedova corrected it on the spot: “Ipersonici”. The reference actually referred to the Russian army’s powerful Kinzhal missiles. At the time, the former Grillino MP could do nothing but the military to justify gaffes, a lightning bolt and the answer from the interlocutor: “That’s not my area of expertise, I’m a conscientious objector,” said Dibba. But the Secretary of State relentlessly thundered at him: “Me too, but I read”.

The political activist’s oversight did not go unnoticed and indeed he found an ironic sounding board on social media. Shortly before, on my own behalf television dissertationsDi Battista had also lashed out at the prime minister Mario Draghi for his recent and strong comments on the conflict in Ukraine. “He gave a more warmongering speech than Zelenskyy because the bombs didn’t reach his head. He has disappeared from the international stage. He replies, sir, in Washington that he doesn’t want an immediate end to the war because it’s better for someone,” he attacked the expentastellato, now a regular on the La7 show, conducted by Giovanni Floris.
Incidentally, as the conversation continued, Di Battista had an ongoing exchange of words with the landlord. “Rai veiled our correspondents in Russia,” the political activist complained, alluding to the current (and actually already revoked) decision by the civil service to stop correspondence from Moscow for security reasons. “I would like an envoy to Moscow to explain the reality to me, which is not just the demonstrations,” stressed the former MP. And Floris, who looks at him in amazement: “But if he’s telling the truth, they’ll arrest him there. You’re in prison for 15 years. Sigh of Dibba, curtain.
