Pennywise in Space Basketball: A New Era

Nosferatu, the vampire in SpongeBob

Count Orlok, better known as Nosferatu, is the character in the black and white silent film of the same name by FW Murnau from 1922. The allusion to the classic horror film is the work of screenwriter and animator Jay Lender, who as a child took a photo of Nosferatu in the Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine. “The photo showed Nosferatu standing motionless in the doorway,” he said. And as a nod, Count Orlok can be seen turning the lights on and off for a few seconds in the episode Graveyard Shift from the second season of the children’s cartoon.

Ghostface in Jay and Bob fight back

In Jay and Bob Strike Back, Kevin Smith had fun with Ghostface and even Wes Craven. In fact, the writer and director, who shares the poster with Jason Mewes, enjoys the Frissons series. Your characters head to the set of Frissons 4 to rescue Suzanne, the orangutan they rescued from a laboratory. Shannen Doherty also lends herself to the game by filming a fake scene and revealing Ghostface’s identity before complaining about the scenario to… Wes Craven (who included a copy of Clerks in Madness in the first 1996 Shivers had decor). And as for Frissons, you know that Linda Blair, the actress who plays the little girl in The Exorcist, makes a brief appearance in the first part, playing the role of a journalist desperate to write a report.

Alien in the crazy space story Friday the 13th

Mel Brooks’ 1987 satirical comedy stars Bill Pullman and John Candy. The two men meet at an interstellar café and order a meal. Then a customer, played by John Hurt – who was part of the cast of the Ridley Scott film “Alien” – sees a xenomorph emerge from his torso… to dance and sing like in a musical at the café counter beneath the amazed looks from customers.
