Former queen and actress Alejandra Villafañe died at the age of 34 after battling cancer for several months. The unfortunate news broke on the afternoon of this Saturday, October 21, when Colombian television was in mourning.

Samaria, who played roles in productions such as The Chosen Granddaughter and Always a Witch, announced in May this year that she was undergoing treatment for cancer and had to withdraw from filming due to health reasons.
In light of this loss, family, friends and personalities from the Colombian entertainment industry have expressed their sadness and support for those close to the actress.
Social networks became a channel through which Villafañe made his process known, from the moment he decided to share his health condition with his audience to the moment he shaved his head for his chemotherapy.
It was on July 4th last year when the actress told her followers about her illness, without giving many details and optimistically, in a video a broad smile could be seen despite her diagnosis.
“This recording of Alejandra in July 2023 is for you today and for my future self. Aleja, tomorrow, July 5th, is your second operation, you are a tough guy. Those who love you are praying for you. God bless you all.”” wrote the model on her Instagram account.

When the actress came out of her second surgery, she also uploaded a recording in which she narrated the process of the procedure and assured that the procedure was a success despite the complications.
“It was very difficult, but also very beautiful, full of learning, lots of insights, of life. The operation was a little complicated and therefore the post was not that easy, although it was a successful operation, apparently it was possible to carry it out.” “All right, my oncologist is a sweetheart and the urologist who came at the last minute, everyone who has been to my practice is too much, thank you,” expressed in the publication.
