The event will take place from October 27th to 29th and is taking place for the 23rd time under the motto “Legacy”.
“I want to encourage our radio staff, I want to encourage the media, I want to encourage our influencers and ambassadors to speak positively about the festival,” he urged at a press conference.
“So I really ask the media, I ask the Dominican public to publish and share positive vibes about our festival,” he stressed in front of a room dedicated to promoting good music.
According to him, if you spread a negative mood, that’s exactly what you’ll attract, local media Dominica News Online reported.
He also called on the public to support this event, which this year was supported by the government with an investment of more than seven million dollars.
Recently, Tourism Minister Denise Charles also recognized the value of the WCMF as an example of the power of culture and music.
It’s more than just funding, it’s a statement of the importance we place on preserving, promoting and celebrating our Creole heritage, he said.
According to Charles, WCMF Dominica is not just an event, it is a legacy.
Unlike 2022, the organizers now want to break the attendance record (more than 7,400 visitors) with the attraction of an exclusive list of guest artists in Windsor Park.
“So there is no excuse not to be at this year’s festival,” he invited.
