Al Assad and Raisi analyzed the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories in a telephone conversation.

In this context, the Syrian President, together with his Persian counterpart, expressed the need for urgent measures at the Arab and Islamic levels to protect the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip, and to stop Israeli attacks on children and women.

Al Assad claimed that Zionist policies were causing bloodshed.

Last Saturday, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in the face of Israel’s repeated aggression against the Palestinian people.

More than 1,200 Palestinians have died and more than 5,760 have been injured in bombings ordered by the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip, where the Hamas movement rules.

Al Assad and Raisi agreed in their conversation to reaffirm their support for the Palestinian people in their legitimate resistance to defend their just cause and regain their usurped rights.

The Iranian president said his country would maintain rapprochement with Islamic countries in order to achieve coordination and cooperation as quickly as possible to “support the Palestinian people.”
