Moscow-. The head of the Russian National Defense Control Center, Colonel-General Mijaíl Mizíntsev, today condemned Kyiv, with Western backing, planning to bomb Ukrainian churches and temples and blamed Russian troops for the events.

“According to the reliable information available to us, the Kiev regime, with the support of several Western countries, is completing preparations for outrageous provocations with numerous casualties in Zaporozhye, Nikolayev, Odessa, Sumy and Kharkov oblasts,” he said.

The military high command indicated that 70 mobile groups of nationalist battalions were ready to carry out these actions, which will move in vans and all-terrain vehicles equipped with so-called traveling mortars.

He warned that these commandos were organized “to bomb Orthodox churches and temples on the Easter Vigil (April 23-24) and then accuse Russian soldiers of massacring civilians on this holy holiday for believers.”

Mizintsev assured that they plan to bring reporters to these places to show the results of the alleged Russian soldiers’ attacks and immediately spread false information.

“The provocations that the Ukrainian authorities are preparing show their complete indifference to the fate of their own citizens,” he said.

He called on the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the International Red Cross, among other international organizations, to intervene in Kyiv to prevent this inhumane provocation.

The head of Russia’s National Defense Control Center said such actions “disregard all norms of morality and international humanitarian law.”
