The young woman and her boyfriend Nat had been pursuing their favorite pastime, the road trip. They were driving down a deserted road in a remote area of California when they saw the silhouette of a dog in the distance.
They stopped and the dog came running towards them, jumping happily and wagging its tail. The place was far from everyone; The nearest gas station was a good twenty miles away. How did this Australian crossbreed cattle end up in this area?

They bought him food and then stopped at Nat’s childhood home in Bakersfield, about 80 miles north of Los Angeles. The dog was given a good bath while his new friends removed countless ticks and fleas.
A new life full of love and adventure
Nat’s mom helped them spread a post about the four-legged friend in hopes that his potential owners would recognize him. The next day, the couple took him to the vet, who found he was unidentified and gave him the necessary vaccinations.
Days, then weeks, passed and no one answered. The dog was very happy with this family. He found an ideal playmate in Gigi, his rescuers’ red-brown cat.
Nat and his partner have finally made a wonderful decision; they took it over. The dog is now called Bluey and accompanies them on their road trips, like the one who made this beautiful meeting possible.
