Gary Thornburn and Clare Beardsout leedsa town in the county of Yorkshire inEngland North, left their car at the front deskAirport out Manchester before you leave Murcia (Spain) for 13 days with her children and family friends. But when they returned they found a notification from Greater Manchester Police saying their Golf GTI had been caught on camera driving at almost 90km/h in an area speed limit about 20 km/h.

The history
The couple left the car at the Terminal 3 entrance 3rd Augustso they kept going home 16.8but the police letter stated that their vehicle continued on the Alan Turing Way 5th of August, exactly two days after Gary and Clare left the country. The two contacted the police to explain that they were in Spain at the time of the alleged crime.
Nonetheless, Manchester Airport said the vehicle had been brought into one safe place from the front desk staff and had stayed there throughout the couple’s trip. Airport officials also said the car in the flash photo is different from Gary and Clare’s.

Mr Thornburn said: “We got back just before midnight when my wife informed me that I had received a speeding ticket dated August 5th. I immediately said it couldn’t have been our fault we were still on vacation. We left the car around 10pm on Wednesday 3rd August. I knew they would take her somewhere else, somewhere safe. We used the official reception agency as we wanted to make sure the car was in good hands. I never thought anyone would move so fast. It’s a criminal offense and it’s extremely dangerous ».

An airport spokesman said: “We are aware that a customer who booked a meet and greet car park space at our facility has received a criminal case from Greater Manchester Police relating to an alleged speeding offense committed while on holiday was committed. We understand the seriousness of the situation and have immediately launched an investigation. However, this investigation revealed that the car booked with us remained in a storage room pending collection by the customer upon their return. The vehicle key was also kept safe».
