A French couple caused quite a stir online when they served their guests more than 300 McDonald’s burgers on their wedding day.
The couple’s connection, immortalized on the TikTok platform, was completely overshadowed by the original menu offered to guests.
“I let you discover today’s dish,” Ophélie, the young bride, announces in the video, which has racked up 1.5 million views in three days. A caterer can be seen walking towards him with McDonald’s bags in his hand, causing the crowd to scream and laugh.
“Thank you so much for the fun during our wedding,” Thomas, the groom, wrote in the video’s caption, addressing his local McDonald’s restaurant.

Others criticized the menu.

Small budget
“I posted it as a joke,” the groom told Le Parisien newspaper, confirming that his decision was made primarily for economic reasons. We didn’t have a big budget. »
He explained that he was able to save costs by reserving a reception room thanks to a friend.
“I was afraid of paying dearly for not loving. Even if that means I have to pay, I might as well afford it,” says Ophélie, recognizing that she and her partner had “complicated” tastes in food.
The latter admitted that some guests were shocked to see so many burgers at the table.
The McDonald’s restaurant that prepared the order said the 300 sandwiches cost more than 1,000 euros, or about $1,440 CAD.
