They started in "taverns"now the penguins are conquering San Siro

With the “zero” date of their stadium tour, they set fire to the San Giuliano Park in Mestre in front of over 60,000 enthusiastic fans. They did the same thing last night, Tuesday, July 11, and repeated it on Wednesday night at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, before moving on to the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, the Olimpico Stadium in Turin and then the Rome Stadium ( with double date). Then it will be the turn of the San Nicola Stadium in Bari and the San Filippo Stadium in Messina. Two weeks break, then it’s Olbia Red Valley Festival and Rfc Arena in Reggio Emilia. The Nuclear Tactical Penguins don’t disappoint fans, they bring to life a show of flames, laser games and colorful balloons flying in the air. And a lot of music that, in a few years, has turned her into an Italian pop phenomenon, perhaps in a somewhat unexpected way. The concert starts and the penguins are not on stage. The lights are still out and a voice-over deliberately spreads disturbing and false messages to commemorate a fundamental step in the journey of the last few months: the album Fake News has been released, which revisits some important moments in the band’s history, which contains individual sample reviews such as Giovani Wannabe or Ricordi. However, the instruments were stolen from the Nuclear Tactical Penguins. Riccardo has lost his voice. The six members of the gang are actually six clones placed there by the CIA. Has the Penguin concert been cancelled? Has Riccardo really lost his voice? The show begins.

One in line, Riccardo Zanotti, the band’s frontman, sings the greatest hits of the Bergamo band. Zen, Giovani Wannabe, Tetris, Hold on, The Neverending Story, Bergamo, Hikikomori, Coca Zero, Nonono, Ricordi, Lake Washington Boulevard. Then it’s on to an intimate moment, at a table, in a frame – leave the comparison – with Celentano. The six sing softer, guitar in hand, as if trying to tell each other the right and wrong choices. The instruments are acoustic, even the percussions find a place at the table. Three songs fly away acoustically in an intimate atmosphere: Scatole, Giulia and Cena di Classe.

Then we return to the actual stage, with Irene, a song that served as a turning point for the Nuclear Tactical Penguins’ career, followed by Dentista Croatia, Antarctica, Freddie, Laugh and Steal me the night in series. In the middle space for a DJ set with some songs less known to the general public than recent hits: Scooby Doo, Verdura, Fede. And then everyone out, first from the traditional and inevitable space for the encore with the songs Ringo Starr – a success that brought them to the fore on the Sanremo stage -, Scrivile scemo and then perhaps the group’s most popular song,Pastello Bianco . On the evening of Out of the hype it’s time to say goodbye and say thank you.

Nothing to do with the live performances of 2016 or 2017, when they were still unknown, they had an audience of a few hundred enthusiasts, although their enormous potential was already recognized in the live performances. ‘We started in the taverns. “When I see you guys so much now, you guys almost look like a video game,” he said at one moment on the show, a nod to the introduction of Tetris, one of the first songs to achieve national success.
