Two women posed as daughters and took the body before bringing it to the United States.
Gloria Gutiérrez, widow of Juan José Rodríguez Jr. “El Puma Junior”, nephew of the famous singer and actor José Luis Rodríguez, reported the disappearance of her partner’s body from a funeral home in Pereira, Colombia.
According to the media from Captus 24, the woman assured that she had sent the funeral home appropriate documents for the transfer of the body to Miami (USA), and yesterday evening, Friday, October 13, the funeral home handed over the body to two unknown women, who they say are his daughters.
She regretted that the funeral home committed this kind of arbitrariness, since Juan José Rodríguez Jr. had no children and the only person authorized to collect the body was her (Gloria Gutiérrez).
With this in mind, she called on the Colombian authorities to conduct an investigation and hand over her husband’s body.
This Friday, Juan José’s representative announced the possible cause of death, which was rumored to be murder. He assured that the death of the singer in Pereira was natural.
“During his stay at the hotel in Pereira, he suffered a heart attack and died there. They are waiting for the family’s order to return his body to Miami. There were rumors that they had killed him, but that wasn’t the case. It is very clear that the death was due to a heart attack,” Álvaro Roa, the musician’s friend and manager, explained to the Telemundo program Hoy Día, in which the presenter added that she told him off-camera that he already have heart problems.
Last Wednesday, October 11th, he died in Colombia at the age of 53. Born in Caracas, he was known for his physical appearance and the sound of his voice, which surprised audiences due to his resemblance to José Luis Rodríguez, the “cougar.”
