Havana, December 5th (RHC) The sixth international workshop “Opportunities and challenges of the audiovisual sector in a regional context” will take place from December 7th to 9th in the Che Guevara room in this capital.
Organized by the Cuban Institute for Radio and Television (ICRT) and the New Latin American Cinema Foundation (FNCL), participants will explore issues of cultural heritage and audiovisual creation in the Latin American and Caribbean context.
As announced by Otto Eugenio Braña Gonzales, Director of the ICRT’s Audiovisual Heritage and Sound Studies Office, each year the workshop becomes a theoretical space to address the priorities of the audiovisual context.
The main topics on the agenda include historical memory, audio and audiovisual heritage, video games in Latin America, cultural integration, development, realities and opportunities for the continent.
As in other editions, the workshop will bring together national and international experts from countries such as Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay and Cuba, to name a few, who will focus their debates on raising awareness of the importance of the topic for audiovisual Media sharpen Latina culture in America.
The sixth international workshop “Opportunities and Challenges of the Audiovisual Sector in a Regional Context” is part of the activities of the Festival of New Latin American Cinema that is taking place these days in the Cuban capital.
