A new artificial intelligence model similar to ChatGPT can predict individuals' lives and their risk of premature death with great precision, according to a recent study.
According to researchers from the Technical University of Denmark, the University of Copenhagen and Northeastern University who are behind the study published in the journal Nature Computational Science, this new AI system was used to train life histories of six million people.
The Danish researchers analyzed collected data on individuals' education, lifestyle and health, as well as income, occupation, addresses and working hours.
Scientists converted this data into words to train a large language model called “Life2vec,” which is similar to the technology behind AI applications like ChatGPT.
Data from a group of people aged 35 to 65, half of whom died between 2016 and 2020, were analyzed by the AI model, which was able to predict outcomes such as personality traits and time of death with great accuracy.
According to these results, if some people can live to old age because of their professional status and high income, being a man with skills in a certain field or affected by a mental illness puts them at a higher risk of premature death.
