On Tuesday morning, journalists were able to watch the first four episodes of STAT’s second season.
After the presentation of the programs, producer Fabienne Larouche, author Marie-Andrée Labbé and actress Suzanne Clément took part in a round table to answer questions from the media.
We then learned that in addition to Caroline Néron and Marc Beaupré, another well-known actress will be part of the cast of the next season. In fact, Tammy Verge will play an episodic role in this new version. In addition, she will have the opportunity to star alongside her son Thomas Derasp-Verge (photos here), who is also an actor. We could also see the latter in All Life and District 31. He also appeared in a commercial with Justin Bieber. All details here.
However, we don’t know when the mother-son duo will appear on the show.
Note that STAT’s first week’s end credits feature some familiar faces: Karelle Tremblay and David Boutin will play patients being treated in Saint-Vincent’s emergency room.
We can also see Rémy Girard in the role of Éric’s father (Stéphane Rousseau). Interesting fact: It was Rémy Girard who asked to play in STAT. He was also part of the cast of Virginie and District 31, Fabienne Larouche’s two previous dailies. Fun Fact #2: It’s a reunion for Girard and Rousseau, who also played a father-son duo in Denys Arcand’s The Barbarian Invasions.
The second season of STAT begins on September 11th at 7 p.m. on ICI Télé.
