Johnny Depp is the person with the biggest men’s perfume deal in history. The actor has signed a multi-million dollar deal with Dior. The French luxury fashion house and cosmetics giant also stood by the star in his legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard and have now reached a historic settlement.

According to a Variety report, sources are specifying Depp and Dior’s three-year deal is worth more than $20 million, the largest in history. The new deal eclipses Robert Pattinson’s $12 million deal with Dior Homme as well as Brad Pitt’s $7 million deal promoting Chanel No. 5.
A source familiar with the perfume industry told the outlet that this type of deal is unconventional since most celebrities rake in around $2 million to $4 million a year from perfume deals.
Johnny Depp, the face of Dior Sauvage and the pressure to fire him
The actor has been the face of Dior Sauvage since 2015. After Amber Heard’s allegations against Depp, the company was under pressure to fire the actor. These increased after a UK court ruled against him in its 2020 defamation lawsuit against The Sun for calling him a “wife beater” in connection with Heard.
Last year however Depp’s image and marketing improved dramatically after he won Amber Heard’s lawsuit against him in the United States.

On June 1, 2022, a Virginia jury ruled that Heard defamed Depp and ordered him to pay the actor $10.3 million in compensatory and punitive damages. On the other hand, the jury awarded the actress $2 million in damages.
However, the actress appealed the verdict, while Depp did the same for his part. Months later, at the end of the year, the ex-partner finally settled on a payment arrangement. According to official documents The case culminated in a deal in which Heard’s insurance company would pay Depp $1 million. At the time, the actress clarified that the agreement was neither a concession nor a concession.
For his part Depp’s attorneys announced that the actor would donate the $1 million settlement payment to various charities. “We are pleased to officially close the door on this painful chapter for Mr. Depp, who has made it clear throughout this trial that uncovering the truth is his priority,” Depp’s attorneys said in a statement to People.
