Marizel herself has commented that she doesn’t like to talk about this event, because she doesn’t even remember it well.
She recalled that when she first told about her experience, she said she was 19 years old, but according to journalistic archives, she was 24 years old.
“I was working at Cefac at the time, at TV Azteca, I wanted to get some extensions in a room in Villa Coapa, and when I went downstairs, two subjects caught me, they asked me for my backpack, my car keys, my phone ( …) Suddenly I feel that it’s not just a robbery, but that they want to take me with them,” he said.
“At that moment I get very nervous, I kick him and they get more aggressive. I open my mouth, scream and feel the gun in my mouth. My reflex was to hit the gun and it goes up here, near the chin,” he said.
He recalled remaining conscious after the shot and even feeling the tip of the bullet behind his ear.
