This Morning’s Alison Hammond has to cancel her holiday as Josie Gibson falls and nearly ‘eats the floor’ in messy episode
This Morning’s Alison Hammond revealed she was forced to postpone her holiday while co-host Josie Gibson fell during a messy episode of the ITV show on Friday.
The new GBBO presenter, 48, said she had changed her flight and was departing a day late after stepping in as a presenter at the last minute while Holly Willoughby lived out her family holiday in Portugal.
Josie, 38, kicked off the show by praising her friend and gushed: “May I thank you Alison because you shouldn’t be here today?”
Alison replied: “I was supposed to be on holiday, I canceled it for you and the viewers, but actually for you.”

With an overwhelmed Josie asking, “You canceled just for me?”
Alison beamed, “I’m leaving tomorrow, I changed my flights just for you.”
Later, Josie, looking stunning in a form-fitting canary yellow midi dress, almost fell off her high heels.
As the pair walked through the studio, Josie suddenly lost her footing and was caught by Alison.
Giggling and visibly shocked, she told viewers, “I almost ate the floor!”
The duo have stood their ground alongside Craig Doyle and Dermot O’Leary during Holly’s two-month hiatus – without saying goodbye to viewers.
When she returns from her long holiday in September, This Morning will revolve around the presenter after ITV bosses decided not to make big bucks from hiring Phillip Schofield.
The Chron revealed the star will have rotating co-hosts as she hosts the under-threat show Monday through Thursday, rather than bosses poaching a bigger star from a rival show or broadcaster.

It comes after Josie on Wednesday denied rumors she had been dating This Morning cameraman Sam Morter.
The former Big Brother winner was visibly frustrated when she opened up about the love speculation on her Instagram stories.
Speaking on camera, Josie said, “I’m just lying down for a little bit because I’m so sick of this story.” I’m not in a relationship, nor am I in love with the cameraman, Sam. I’m not with Sam Morter.
“I love Sam Morter, he’s my workmate, I’m like his older sister.” I’m like his aunt. That’s all.’
A visibly angry Josie repeated: ‘Me and Sam Morter aren’t going.’ I don’t know how many times I have to say it!’.
It comes just days after Josie revealed she’s in love with a new boyfriend during Tuesday night’s show Shopping With Keith Lemon.

The ITV presenter detailed her new romance and said the mystery man is giving her “flutters” but denied she is dating cameraman Sam Morter.
The pair sent the rumor mill into overdrive after sharing a cozy joint picture on social media of what appeared to be a relationship announcement.
Josie said she is in the early stages of a relationship but seems to be getting stronger.
She told Keith, “There’s someone in my life right now, but it’s early days.”

“It’s that part where you have the flutter, you can’t wait to see them — you get a little nervous.”
“I said I love you. It’s best to just get it out of the way, I don’t like to play.”
Josie also shared that being single, she’s never had much luck with being “prompted”.
“I’m never approached, but you know what? “I hated when they started banning wolf whistles because I always loved being wolf whistled at,” she joked.
