There was an aura of mystery on the setUntenableThursday when the team was 69 years olde Shooting day of the second season. What fate was reserved for police officer Maxime (Mathieu Baron) who was involved in a shootout in the very last episode of the first version?

We won’t reveal anything to spoil the joy of TVA’s 1.5 million followers, but whatever happens to Marie-Anne’s (Anne-Élisabeth Bossé) wife, she will be deeply affected and even face questioning.

Whether Maxime was injured or died in a shootout with a fake cop, the lawyer won’t have it easy.
Showrunner Izabel Chevrier previously told QMI Agency that Season 2 would delve deeper into the life of Marie-Anne, but alongside this character, the main focus is on the causes. “We will be following Marie-Anne’s private life more, but it will take up less space than Leo did in season one. We’re going to focus more on criminal cases because that’s at the heart of the series.
The personal side of the main characters, including André Lapointe (Michel Laperrière), Léo MacDonald (Sébastien Delorme) and Inès Saïd (Nour Belkhiria), is particularly united in the cabinet. On the other hand, the lives of the accused or victims will have a place of choice in the intrigues.

“Season 2 will be extremely touching and disturbing, and I would add that it will be confrontational because there are social issues that need to be talked about,” said Izabel Chevrier, who is the lead writer on the Pixcom-produced series with her husband Me Richard Dubé.
In the cases of the court of the day, family dramas, domestic violence, child abuse and sex crimes are discussed. “The realistic side of the series is rich and seeks to understand our society and its defenses. Criminal charges, that’s our goal,” she added.
And what about the risen ones?
As for Me Legrand (Martin-David Peters), who was placed under police protection when they thought he was dead – he was attacked in the middle of the street in front of his son and Inès (who is still angry with him) – he returns to the Lapointe-MacDonald-Desjardins cabinet with the intention of resuming his practice, which will not be easy, he who continues to be protected by the police.

“He’s going to make his way across the cross and needs to win back people’s trust,” Ms Chevrier said.

Imagine that the Indefensible team is filming the episodes that we will see just before Christmas these days. The pacing is good and the shooting schedule has even been revised to allow for breaks for actors and technical crews.
In September, “Indéfendable” returns Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m. on TVA.

“It’s difficult to talk about my character because everything will depend on the tension we experience regarding Maxime from the first episode of the second season. They have decided for each other again, Maxime is his friend, and we don’t know: is he injured, is he between life and death? All of this will have a big impact on Marie-Anne,” said the actress.
André Lapointe (Michel Laperriere)

“André continues with the same passion, the same desire for justice. The firm is at home, it’s his family and all the lawyers continue to work as a team,” said his interpreter, who enjoys playing this passionate and confident guy who becomes explosive when unhinged. “There are many areas to search and I haven’t bypassed this character yet!”

“A lot happened in Leo’s life in the first season. This year he had to break the record, so that means a little less work and more time with the family. “Sometimes in life there are sudden shocks that you weren’t expecting, which causes you to put your way of working into perspective and make decisions that put you back on track,” said the actor, who is particularly fond of his lyrics, months in advance.

“We accompany Inès in her first year as a lawyer. Always very emotional, impulsive and awkward, she discovers herself as a lawyer. She takes the lead, makes mistakes and experiences the vagaries of the profession, because it is not always the success that we have. It’s a huge field of emotions, full of twists and turns, it’s a very complex and deep character, because being so holistic means you live out each of your emotions 100%, and for me as an actress, that’s a piece of cake!
