(CNN) If you’ve always dreamed of escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life and traveling to a remote island with no other residents, now might be your chance.
Barlocco Island is just off the south coast of Scotland and is for sale, priced at over £150,000 ($190,000).

“It still feels very romantic to have your own private Scottish island where you can get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet in some of the most beautiful scenery around,” Galbraith Group’s Aaron Edgar, the agent handling the Sales said in a statement.
The buyer should not be a commuter. The nearest town is around six miles away and the nearest train station is Dumfries, an hour’s bus ride from the city. London and Edinburgh are over 350 and 100 miles away respectively.
With lush green grass and rocky outcrops stretching down to the sea, the island covers an area of about 25 hectares, but there are no buildings on it, just a flood pond that provides water for livestock and wildlife during the winter months.
According to the listing no one has ever applied for planning permission on the island so it would be up to the buyer to check development opportunities with the local authority.
At low tide the island can be reached on foot, by tractor or quad. The rest of the time there’s a pebble beach where boats can anchor – “the perfect base to explore the island, partake in a dip in the cold water… and enjoy a picnic by the water,” Edgar added.
It is located in a Site of Special Scientific Interest – an area in the UK defined as of Special Interest due to the rare species of fauna or flora it contains – and is a sanctuary for all types of wildlife, including large ones black-backed gulls, and rare plants such as sea lavender and fragrant orchid.
The agent anticipates great interest in this miniature kingdom. “We have seen strong demand from national and international parties for entire private islands having completed the sale of several in Scotland,” said Edgar.
