While we wait for her return to the intergalactic saga, Daisy Ridley shares some little news about the next Star Wars film.
At Star Wars Celebration, everyone was surprised by the announcement of a new film starring Daisy Ridley. Untitled, but with a female director (Sharmeen ObaidChinoy, who worked on Ms. Marvel) and the promise that the events would take place after what we saw in The Rise of Skywalker, with Rey becoming the new Jedi would build an order.
The writers’ and actors’ strike has ended after projects like this were halted for several months. And while the actress shows her usual enthusiasm for the project, she admits that she doesn’t know what stage of development the Star Wars film is currently in.
“The story is really cool,” he told Collider. “I’m waiting to read a script because obviously I don’t have any further updates. It’s not what I expected, but I’m very excited. I know the plot of a film. That doesn’t mean it just is. But it was about what they told me. And I can see that being my next film, I think.”

However, she admits that this film, whose script was entrusted to Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, probably hasn’t made much progress recently. And we still have to be patient until more information is available, because the launch is planned for 2026.
