According to a report by checkout proThor: Love and Thunder exceeded expectations by grossing $302 million upon its worldwide premiere.
Looking at just North America, it’s the thirdbiggest this year at $143 million, behind Jurassic World: Dominion ($145 million) and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($185 million).
Its predecessor, Thor: Ragnarok, made $123 million when it opened five years ago.
With an estimated budget of $250 million, it remains to be seen how it will play out in the future. The film should benefit from the period without strong competition.
