On Wednesday morning, the interruption of the drinking water supply affected the western bank of the community. The city announced on its website that it will remain in place until further notice. The situation is impacting schools as 14 establishments have not been able to open their doors since Tuesday, excluding 6,996 pupils and students from classes.

The time when water supplies will return to normal is still uncertain. Repairs to the line continued overnight.

The city has announced that it will regularly inform citizens on its website, its Facebook page and its various alert systems via telephone calls and text messages.

Citizens of the Saint-Luc, L’Acadie and Saint-Jean sectors who have access to water must boil it for at least one minute before consuming it.

Drinking water refill points are available at the Carrefour Richelieu (600 rue Pierre-Caisse) and at the terminus (800, rue Boucher).
