This Tuesday, protests by thousands of citizens against the federal government’s energy and social policies were reported in several German cities.

The protests began on Monday in Leipzig, Saxony, and were attended by up to 3,000 people unhappy with rising energy and food prices.

The Germans consider the recent approval of the third aid package for the population in the amount of 65 billion euros to be insufficient.

The parties on the left and those on the extreme right support the demonstrations.

According to the German media, the organizer of the demonstration in Leipzig was the Left Party. His supporters blame the authorities for the situation the country’s economy is in (rising inflation and record-breaking energy prices).
