Thousands of Houthi supporters, many armed, flocked to Yemen's capital on Monday to hold a parade celebrating the terror group's attacks in the Red Sea against the United States and Israel.

On Monday, the latest rally by the Houthis and their supporters took place in the capital Sanaa, with demonstrators waving weapons and Palestinian flags to show their support for the Iran-backed terrorists.

Several of the protesters also trampled on Israeli and American flags that were thrown to the ground in a sign of solidarity against the Houthis' enemies.

The rally was also held to show support for the Palestinian terror group Hamas, which has been at war with Israel in Gaza since Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel on October 7.

The proof of unity came when the terror group claimed, without any evidence, that it had attacked a US Navy ship in the region on Monday. American officials quickly dismissed the claim.

Houthi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said the group fired a missile at the USS Lewis B. Puller, a ship that had served as a mobile base for naval operations seizing Iranian-made weapons for Yemen in the Gulf of Aden .

U.S. defense officials said there was no such report of an attack on the mobile base on Monday.

The alleged attack and demonstrations, which have been ongoing since October 7, have intensified following US-led airstrikes in Yemen this month.

The US and Britain have launched retaliatory strikes against the group, destroying several Houthis drone and missile sites.

The attacks in Yemen are aimed at destroying the Houthis' military capabilities, which could be used to attack merchant ships in the Red Sea.

The Biden administration recently reversed its 2021 decision and redesignated the Yemen-based group as a specially designated global terrorist organization.

The terror group condemns the designation and continues to fire rockets and explosive drones almost daily against ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden to show its support for Hamas.

The attacks have disrupted global trade by directly affecting a key supply route between Europe and Asia. The Houthis vowed to continue attacks until the end of the war in Gaza.

The terrorist leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, welcomed the fight against the US in mid-January, claiming it would only strengthen the militant group.

“We praise God for this great blessing and honor – that we are in direct confrontation with Israel and America,” he said in a televised statement.
