Threats against the director of the film about Trump

British documentary filmmaker Alex Holder, who filmed Donald Trump and his family in the months before and after the Capitol Hill attack on January 6, 2021, needs armed protection.

Holder, who testified before the House Inquiry Committee into the January 6 events, spoke to the BBC about the risks he is taking with his revelations.

And when asked if he felt threatened by the evidence he presented to the jury, he said: “Well my life changed a week ago and now I have two armed guards outside because of this investigation follow everywhere.”

“Some say I’m an undercover FBI agent, others think I’m an MI6 spy and I get all kinds of threats,” he added, saying he had “nothing to hide”.

His film, Unprecedented, chronicles the months before and after the 2020 election, including the opening of Congress, and will premiere on Discovery+ this summer.

Regarding Trump, Holder revealed: “There was no way to have a reasonable conversation with him.”
