Three killed in small Dutch plane crash in Croatia Teller Report

Three people were killed in Croatia when a small plane registered in the Netherlands crashed. As the district attorney’s office in Karlovac announced on Sunday, according to Croatian media, the bodies of the pilot and two passengers were found in the completely burned wreckage of the Cirrus SR20 machine.

The machine left on Saturday from Maribor, Slovenia, towards the Croatian city of Pula, on the Adriatic. For initially unclear reasons, it crashed into the Mali Makovnik forest on Mount Kapela, about 90 kilometers as the crow flies southwest of the capital Zagreb. Chief Aviation Inspector Danko Petrin suspected that fuel on board may have caught fire during the flight.
