Three terrorists eliminated after attack on Israeli settlement in West Bank – The Jerusalem Post

Israeli sources reported that terrorists carried out a shooting attack in the Israeli West Bank settlement of Adora on Friday evening. The report was followed by a warning about possible terrorist infiltration of the community.

The Home Front Command then issued an order that residents of the community take shelter in buildings, lock the doors and close the windows.

Residents were warned not to leave the buildings until the end of the event. Traffic in the area is prohibited until further notice.

Resident is shot in the leg

Terrorists reportedly entered the community and attacked an IDF soldier on patrol, and Maariv reported that a resident suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom confirmed that the injured person, a 34-year-old man, suffered from minor to moderate wounds and was fully conscious after being shot in the leg.

A later IDF statement reported that after the terrorists entered the community, they fired on IDF troops patrolling the scene.

Eliminated three terrorists

The IDF immediately launched a chase and conducted thorough searches of the area. During the searches, three terrorists were identified and eliminated by Israeli security personnel.

The terrorists reportedly got stuck between the perimeter fence of the area and were unable to cross it. M16 weapons, an axe, knives and Molotov cocktails were found on the terrorists.

The IDF added that it continues to search for additional terrorists.
