The French beauty explained that she had surgery after an ovarian cyst “exploded in my stomach”.

Sharing photos of herself in her hospital gown and a picture of her scan, Thylane went on to explain that three months after her first surgery, she was in pain again.

“In the beginning everyone (including me of course) thought it was because of the surgery,” she wrote. “This year I’ve been to 3 different gynecologists, I’ve seen more than 4 radiology centers in Paris and they all said the same thing: ‘Don’t worry, you have nothing, it’s all in your head.’

Thylane used to say she had to go to the emergency room because my stomach was hurting so bad I couldn’t handle it and they said everything was fine and I have a small cyst and need to get checked out in 2- 3 months.’

“The day after I had this appointment with an amazing doctor ( Olivier Kadoch ) who saw right away that I had a 5.6 cm cyst touching my ovary so he sent me to an IRM and an hour later that The doctor called me and asked me to go straight to the hospital for emergency surgery.’

“Today I finally feel better. I finally feel free. I really thought I was crazy for complaining about my stomach for so long. Lucky I never gave up,” she gushed.

“From this experience I learned that when your body hurts you don’t have to let it slide and take care of it, you have to see different doctors until one of them finds the problem and heals it. Any pain, even small, can hide something far more important.”

Thylane thanked her doctor “who literally saved my life” and her mother for traveling from the south of France to be with her. She ended her post by paying tribute to her boyfriend, Ben Attal, “who has been helping me with my stomach issues for a year ❤️”.

It’s an honor she’s received twice, with Thylane again securing the coveted title 11 years later and topping TC Candler’s 2018 annual awards list.

Taking to Instagram at the time, an enthusiastic Thylane thanked the competition for the award and admitted she “couldn’t believe it”.

She wrote: “Can’t believe it myself, thank you @tccandler and everyone who voted.

“I never thought I’d be number one! I am grateful to you all. I really hope you have great holidays and have a nice Christmas with your family..all the best to you all lots of love (sic)’.
