Tiago Leifert and Daiana Garbin celebrate 2 years of Moon

Tiago Leifert and his wife Daiana Garbin are celebrating their daughter Lua’s 2nd birthday today. The theme of the party was the animation “The Little Mermaid” and the decoration followed the aesthetics of the seabed.

Daiana celebrated her daughter’s life on Instagram.

“Viva Nossa Lua! I ordered a cake to celebrate 2 years of the moon as a family, unfortunately we are still unable to have a party with guests,” Daiana wrote.

Followers praised the decoration and wished the girl luck.

“Long live the moon! Long live this girl full of light, joy and love! Long live!” wrote Sabrina Sato.

“That smile, folks. Much light and health to them. She’s so tiny she can’t imagine how important she is in the world and how much she must have helped a child save themselves,” another follower said.

The couple’s daughter has been being treated for a year for retinoblastoma, a rare eye cancer. Recently, Daiana and Tiago launched a campaign to raise awareness of the disease and help with early detection.

Titled “De Olho nos Olhinhos,” the journalist promoted an event about the awareness campaign that took place on the 17th of last month at Parque Ibirapuera in São Paulo.

“Now in the month of September, our daughter Lua is completing a year of treatment for cancer, and the one year anniversary of treatment coincidentally falls very close to Retinoblastoma National Day. We took advantage of this coincidence to do an event. Dai is organizing a campaign which we hope will be huge (and this is only the first year) to raise awareness about retinoblastoma,” Leifert said.

“Is it a rare disease? It’s a rare disease, but it happens. And we want people to find out as soon as possible. Early diagnosis is essential, so it’s important to spread information. That’s our intention .the eye in the eyes’ campaign,” he added.

Last month, the moderator said he intends to lobby for Brazilian legislation to be changed and allow for quick care for patients.
